Chelsea’s Carlo Ancelotti insists Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney will not get special treatment
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 boss, Carlo Ancelotti claimed he had not planned anything special to curb Manchester United star striker, Wayne Rooney in the upcoming UEFA Champions League quarterfinal clash at Old Trafford. The English Premier League defending champions travel
to Manchester with a goal deficit, having lost to the current Premier League leaders at Stamford Bridge a week earlier.
It has been rumoured that the Italian boss will find himself unemployed if he fails to secure silverware this season. Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich has known to sack managers in the past who have failed to live up to his expectations. Claudio Ranieri,
Jose Mourinho, Avram Grant, and Luis Felipe Scolari are all examples of managers who were shown the door after they failed to get the desired results.
Ancelotti’s only chance at leading the Blues to a trophy this season is the Champions League, since his side was eliminated from the both the cup competitions early on. Their slump was to blame for their poor performance, which also saw the team give up
their spot at the top of the English Premier League table.
They are currently at third position, eight points behind Manchester United with a game in hand. It seems highly unlikely that Chelsea will be able to retain their Premier League crown. For now they have to focus at remaining in the top four in the Premier
League and getting past Manchester United to make it to the semifinals of the Champions League.

fueled his frustration, and according to Manchester United boss, Sir Alex Ferguson will compel him to perform better.
Ancelotti seemed unconcerned with Ferguson’s claims and insisted he would not be changing anything to control Rooney. He said, “I think that, obviously, Rooney is the most dangerous player in the squad. We have to pay attention to his position and his performance.
We have to do better than we did in the last game. But we don't change our shape, our mentality, our philosophy to control Rooney.”
He denied he was under pressure, and instead claimed to be excited about the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinal. He continued, “I think that, a lot of times, I played this kind of game with this pressure. But it's not pressure, its excitement.
To be involved in this game is fantastic for my job, for my career. So I'm not afraid, I'm not worried about this.”
