Chelsea’s Carlo Ancelotti ready to accept his fate – EPL news
Chelsea manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has revealed that he will accept his fate if the club decides to dismiss him from his position. The Italian will hold a meeting with the Chelsea board on Sunday to decide whether or not he has a future at Stamford Bridge
beyond the ongoing 2010/11 Barclays Premier League campaign.
To say that it has been a disappointing season for Chelsea would be an understatement. The Blues are staring down the barrel of a trophyless season, a rarity in Roman Abramovich’s eight-year reign at Stamford Bridge. The London club have failed to win any
sort of silverware on only two previous occasions, and both times, the manager responsible was axed. Ancelotti seems destined to meet the same fate.
A board meeting has been scheduled for Sunday, and speculation is rife that the Italian’s future with the club hinges on that meeting. However, Ancelotti claims he is not too concerned about the verdict. The Italian insists that he is satisfied with what
he has achieved during his two year reign, and even if he were to be forced out, he ‘would not be crying.’
Speaking on the matter, Ancelotti said, “The club have to judge my http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 - be objective. If they decide to change, it's not a problem. You won't see me crying or doing something. I will accept the decision of the club and find another solution."
He added, “When I started my experience here in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749, if someone had told me that we would win the FA Cup and the Premier League in two years, I'd have been happy. In these two years, I have to be happy because the team, last year, was fantastic.”
However, the Italian admitted that the Blues have been below-par this season. Chelsea’s inconsistency in the current campaign has cost them their Premier League crown.
"This season was nothing special. We had problems, as we had a lot of times in my career. We were not able to win the league as we did last year, but we didn't play at our best. But we're still in a good position - we were able to reach second place."
