Chelsea's Frank Lampard out for two weeks, Didier Drogba to miss Aston Villa game
Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Frank Lampard will be out of action for another two weeks.
The Italian also said that Didier Drogba will be on the sidelines when the English Premier League champions take on Aston Villa on Saturday (16 October).
Lampard has been out since undergoing a hernia operation last month and it was hoped that the international break would allow him enough time to fully recover. However, the England midfielder has not been able to work his way back to match fitness yet.
Meanwhile, Drogba has been suffering from a fever this week. While he has returned to training, he will not be ready for the trip to Villa. Chelsea will also be unable to call on captain John Terry, central defender Alex Rodrigo Dias da Costa (‘Alex’), midfielder
Yossi Benayoun and attackers Salomon Kalou and Daniel Sturridge.
Line-up for Villa game revealed
Ancelotti told the club’s official website that: "The line-up will be Cech, Ferreira, Ivanovic, Terry and Cole, Ramires, Essien and Mikel, strikers Kakuta, Malouda and Anelka.
"[Lampard] is getting better but he needs to have some weeks again, maybe two weeks to be fit 100 percent, he had a problem on his adductor and we have to pay attention. He is working individually and needs two weeks again.

"Drogba had a fever this week and was not able to train, he started today (Friday) but is not fit. He took antibiotics in the last days and needs to train next week and I'll know if he is available for the game in the Champions League (against Spartak Moscow
on Tuesday). Alex may be available next week and also Kalou will surely be available for the Champions League, and Sturridge needs days of recovery.”
