Chelsea’s Malouda looking to use win against Wigan as an inspiration to beat Manchester United
Chelsea’s mid-fielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Florent-Malouda-c13838, believes that the weekend win over the bottom-placed Wigan Athletic will spur his team to beat Manchester United in the upcoming second leg tie of the quarter-final of UEFA Champions League.
The defending champions limped to a 1-0 win over Wigan at the Stamford Bridge courtesy of a 67th minute winning-goal from Malouda on Saturday, 9 April, 2011. Despite the fact the Blues came out victorious they were gifted with so many chances
and yet could not fully capitalise on the home advantage.
The Frenchman, Malouda, added that his team knew that they had no margin for error and it was a must win game to stay in contention for the Premier League title.
“We were really disappointed with our first half against Wigan and the manager was really upset at half-time. So we had to react because we have no choice but to win every game until the end of the season and it was a different Chelsea in the second half.

“We pushed and tried to score and we scored from the corner and we were very happy with the result, if not with the performance.’ It was confused in there and I didn't feel like Fernando pushed the goalkeeper, all I could see was the desire to score and
we are very happy for this goal.”
The mid-fielder also defended http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Torres-c13707 for his goal drought and believes that it is just matter of time before the Spaniard returns to his best. The 30-year-old is confident that this game’s result will help them to overcome United in the second leg
of Champions League.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 lost 1-0 in the first-leg of the quarter-final at Stamford Bridge last week. The second leg is to be played at Old Trafford and Manchester United are highly likely to progress to the semi-finals of the competition.
The former Lyon man revealed that the manager’s instructions before Wigan game boosted them towards the win. Carlo Ancelotti advised them to concentrate on the current game and if they manage to win this only than they would be able to beat United.
