Fe3O4 + CO --> FeO + CO2 --> 3FeO + CO2

does the left match the right?

  1. ys , it does match..It is balanced


  2. Please leave out the middle (FeO + CO2) which is the unbalanced portion. The correct way to write the equation is -

    Fe3O4 + CO --> 3FeO + CO2

  3. You got it.  Now all you need is confidence.  

    Make a list of all the elements in their basic form and see if they have the same number on each side.
