What reaction would occur?

5mL of 0.1 M acidified ferrous sulfate + 10 drops of 0.1 M potassium pemanganate

1mL of 0.1 sodium chloride + 1mL of 0.1 M potassium bromide

I need to know what reaction would occur, or if one wouldn't occur.

  1. The ferrous ion (Fe++) will get oxidized by the permanganate ion (MnO4-) to give ferric ion (Fe+++) and MnO2.

    Nothing will happen in the other mixture.
