If I were to major in Chemestry, what color hood would I have on my graduation robe? Would it be yellow? I was doing some research, and i saw medical degrees were green. What would be the major to get this color? What about medical doctors? What do their graduation robes look like?

The front-trim color for chemistry is yellow. Various shades of green are used for medicine, pharmacy, and most of the health professions.

The color on the front trim of the hood (the part closest to your neck) does indicate your major field of study -- not your university -- except that the front-trim color for PhD degrees is dark blue, regardless of the field of study. For example, the front-trim color for the MD is green, for medicine.
The color on the back of the hood (generally called the lining) indicates your university, and varies from one institution to another.
Traditionally, hoods have been worn with academic degrees at all levels. Some universities no longer use them for bachelor's degrees, but many others do. The hoods are identical for bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and doctorates, except that each degree level has a longer hood than the last.
Doctoral gowns, but not the others, have velvet panels down the front as well as velvet stripes on the sleeves. Those parts are either black or the front-trim color of the hood, depending on the university.
