Chemial formulas for eyeliner, and eyeshadow?

i am 13 years old and i am going to start my own buisness with makeup, i dont know if i need one but i think i may need a chemica formula for black and brown eyeliner. what would that formula be?????????

  1. Oh, dear.   It wouldn't be one chemical formula.  There are a lot of compounds that make up, say, mascara.  Each compound would have it's own chemical formula.  You can't just make it at home.

    Try distributing the stuff, instead of making it.  Or try a lemonade stand.


  2. Well, I don't have any details here, but I can tell you for sure that eyeliner and eyeshadows are not pure compounds, but rather are pretty complex mixtures of substances.

    Cosmetic companies keep a pretty tight lid on the formulations they use for various cosmetics, so it won't be as simple as asking for a list oof components to make your own.  And you could be considered guilty of industrial espionage -- stealing trade secrets!  Be very careful.
