Chemicals for a 16 x 36 intex pool?

Just bought one and set up today. Used to have an 18 ft pool w/ a list of everything and how often, but can't find it. I remember that I had to put stabiler in a sock and leave it in over night. Sound familiar?? How much? And do I put chlorine or shock in now or wait till morning? Heading to pool store in the a.m. but I want to get proper stuff in tonight, too. Any advice is helpful!

You can put the shock and chlorine in now (it doesn't really matter) just make sure you put in the right quantity, if it doesn't say on the packaging then you can put in about 22 mg.
