Water vapors stick to cold pipes of Air Conditioner in a form of dew. If we collect them, can we use this water as distilled water in batteries?

  1. The air being cooled, not only contains water vapour but also other, dissolved atmospheric gases. It will also contain tiny particles of dust.

As the water hasn't been heated to boiling point, as in distillation, it will also contain bacteria picked up during its passage through the sytem.

It is therefore nothing like distilled water, and I certainly wouldn't use it as such.

  2. That water was condensed water vapor from the air so, in theory, should be like distilled water, however, it has touched the metal pipes and probably dissolved some copper or iron compounds from corrosion etc in the process. Distilled water is only about $1.39 a gallon where I live, so probably not worth the time and effort to try to collect the condensate from air conditioning equipment unless it is a big unit where it drips into some kind of holding tray and everything it touches is squeeky clean.
