  1. 1 nm = 1x10^-9 m = 1x10^-7 cm

    1 nm^3 = (1x10^-7)^3 = 1x10^-21 cm^3 = 1x10^-24 liters

    1 gallon (U.S.) = 3.7853 liters

    1x10^-24 liters / 3.7853 liters per gallon = 2.642x10^-25 gallons

    2.642x10^-25 * 12.3 = 3.25x10^-24 gallon

    3.25x10^-24 x 60 sec/min x 60 min/hr = 1.17x10^-20 gallons/hr

  2. nm means Nanometres.

    1 nanometer = 1.0 × 10^-9 meters

    1 nm^3 = 2.64172052 × 10^-25 US gallons

    1 nm^3 / sec = 9.51019388 × 10^-22 gal / hr

    12.3 nm^3 / sec = 1.16975385 × 10^-20 gal / hour
