Chemistry Mythbusters? HELP!?

Does anyone got any ideas for a chemistry mythbuster project? Try to think of a myth that hasn't been done before. I prefer if you don't look online for the actual mythbuster idea. I need help fast so please help! THanks.

  1. Myth: Green vegetables should always be cooked in water with salt added to prevent the color from changing.

    Experiments to try:

    (1)  Boil vegetables in distilled or deionized water.

    (2)  Boil vegetables in tap water.

    (3)  Boil vegetables in distilled or deionized water to which different amounts of salt have been added..

    (4)  Boil vegetables in distilled or deionized water to which vinegar has been added.

    (5)  Boil vegetables in distilled or deionized water to which lime has been added.

    (6)  Steam the vegetables instead of boiling them.

    Take pictures, compare colors.

    Green beans are inexpensive.  Asparagus, Broccoli, Chives, Collard greens, Kale, Kohlrabi, Mustard greens or Spinach will work.
