To anyone who can help me pleaseeeeee……………
I need further assistance on my previous question!I'm still unsure about which one of the 'made-up' compounds from my assignment questionare would be more effective than the penicillins.
I'm afraid i'm unable to show you them, but if i describe them to you, it may be helpful!
Compound A has a benzene ring, linked to this is CH2-C (linked to C is O by a double bond) -N (linked to N is H
by a single bond) -then N links to the C-C-N* ring (linked to C is O by a double bond)(linked to the other C is S)
(linked to the N is CH) to the S-C (which has two CH3's by single bonds) to the C-CH (that is also linked to the N*)-COOH.
The B compound also has a benzene ring, linked to this is CH2 -C(O linked to this C by a double bond)-N (to this H is linked by single bond) then the N is linked to the C-C-C-C-N ring (then an H is linked also to the C in the ring, the same C the N is linked to) then two H's are linked to the next C is the ring, then another H to the next C in the ring,as is an S linked to the same C the H is. To the S -C ( the C then has two CH3's linked onto it)
The CH that is linked to the N in the ring has COOH linked to it by a single bond.
From these two compounds i must decide which one would be more effective than the penicillins against bacteria.
I'm supposed to imagine being part of a research team that has made up these two imaginary structures as possibilities as improvements on penicillins.
Which do you feel, out of these two imaginary compounds would be better.
Please would you explain why you feel this way.
I hope i have provided a better explaination on my previous question!
Thank you for your kind help with my quest for assistance.
