I took it today. I thought it was harder then previous years :[ The multiple choice was easy, the part 2...not so much. For example that question with the molecular polarity and intermolecular forces. I guessed n i hope i got it right. Im looking into the high 80's-90's.

And then tomorrow we have the english and global regents...great :[ 4 essays in one day. then thursday english and math :[ How are you ppl studying for these?

Good luck.

  1. yeah i took it today...does anyone know the scaling sheet for it..like how many points do u need to pass?

  2. It was definitely harder than others... I posted the answer to that intermolecular forces question on another thread, if I can find it, I'll post it here.

  3. the question about the polarity and the intermoecular forces were one of the questions that troubled me!! it pissed me off because that was my weakest part and yesterday i tried studying about it, but i guess i didn't study well enough to answer it correctly..

plus there was something about the la chatlier's principle.. i think i might have gotten that wrong..

there was like 3 or 4 questions i was unsure about about the multiple choice..

it was harder i than i expected

  4. global was easy at least :)

  5. Well, I had the chem yesterday and I had the global today...done with regents.

    ( :

That one about intermolecular and the polarity...i just totally bs'ed it. I put something about how the bonds are like closer together in the one that had iodine...I put that cause it asked "intermolecular forces"...so yeah. That was the only logical explination.

I think both regents were harder than any others years before. The global regents sucked! It was wayyyy too focused on like really old history. I was hoping the essays would be on communism or Russia. =/

But chem was horrible cause my teacher....didn't even teach my class organic chem or nuclear chem. Lmao.

  6. hello fellow new yorkers! regents..god..I have five this year....i have english and math on the same day! yay mee! -_- er...as for chem...i took mine last year so I can't really help you with that. BUT you can go on www.jmap.org and click on  your test when it gets scanned online so you can see what you got wrong/right!

  7. yeah part II was pretty hard, and some multiple choice were easy, some were pretty challenging.. my problem was i ran out of time!! i cant believe i ran out of time, we had 3 HOURS!! i was so concentrated on the part II that i forgot to go back to my multiple choice i skipped and then i didnt get a chance to do them, even if i would have been able to figure them out!! im so mad.. oh and the molecular polarity and the intermolecular forces i had no clue either..

if anyone knows when or where the regents and the answers from this year will be posted on the internet please let me know, thanks!

  8. it was hard! harder than the other regents! like wth.

  9. Took it yesterday and i got the results today... i expected a 90+... my teacher told me i got a 77 >_>..... one the higher grades.... wtf?

  10. yeah question 19 said something about what answer is similar to 5 moles of CO2 or something ..i said choice three also..something with oxygen?

but yeah the chem regents were by far the hardest out of any other year..hope i did well..

  11. question 19? I completely drew a blank on that one. I think I chose choice 4.

There were a couple others that I just guessed on. But that's chemistry, isn't it? I probably scored in the 80s.

Now I only have English, US History, and Spanish left. At least its only 1 test per day.

  12. hahaha wow we have like the same exam schedule. basically tomorrow and thursday are going to suck. anyways i thought the chem was a lot harder than past exams (we did 5 in class and then i did like 2 on my own). it was weird...there wasn't anything on lewis dot structures and i don't remember anything about redox rxns but then again there might have been. idk it was a long test. but i'm hoping to get in the 90s. hopefully. haha. as for the rest of the exams i'm basically praying. that's about it. for english i'm just like whatever i really don't care. it's english. but for history i was doing really well on the practice exams in class and then i took one tonight and i missed like 5 of the multiple choice questions. basically i'm just doing a million practice exams and reviewing recent stuff in history because apparently they like to ask about recent events. as for the math b i don't even know where to start. pretty much again, a lot of prayer. haha and i guess i'm just going to cram the night before. it's hard to really study when the exams are back to back, sometimes two at a time. anyways good luck and happy summer when it comes on friday! :]

  13. ya i took it today, it was pretty difficult. i think we need like 49 right or something like that. idk i hope we all passed tho lol .

  14. i thought the MC was OK. i think i got maybe 3-5 wrong. BUT the written part i honestly said WTF is this. other than the organic question, they were pretty strangle question. the molecule polarity and intermolecular forces i tried to BS but with only being 1 point each i dont think im getting 1 point on either unless they think my bs is a decent attempt. i also think i forgot to put a decimal point on like 2 of my answers cuz i was kinda freaking out.....btw my proctor was HOT. that shouldnt be aloud...how can i concentrate with her walking around and bendin over to pick up droppped pencils and other stuff...just isnt fair. i think i got 90TOPS.

  15. Wow... i studied 4 this test and i thought it was hardddd.

    For 19 I had noo clue.. I put 3

  16. what was question 19 about?
