Chemistry SAT Scores?

I just got my Chem SAT scores online and was wondering if a 730 was good or bad? About what percentile would I be in or does it vary from year to year?

I personally think that your score is not that bad, yet if you are looking for the Ivy League you should consider retaking the exam. Most Ivy League schools look for a 750+, yet if you feel that you wouldn't improve then obviously don't take it. Also, if you have two other SAT Subject Scores over 750, then I wouldn't worry about it. Dartmouth College told me that they didn't care about any score other than the top two. However, if you are planning on applying to an engineering school, I would recommend retaking the test. A great SAT Subject Test score in science could really make your application look great. If you are pursuing the retake route, buy a test prep book and read it cover to cover (I improved 120 points when I read a test prep book). Still, I wouldn't go nuts over it. The average scores that schools accept are in the 680-780 range. Therefore, don't go nuts, but know that good SAT Subject Test scores can really help make your application look great. If you want to aim for the best colleges, then try for 750+. I wouldn't call 730 bad, but it isn't the best. You should give it another shot.

thats exactly wut i got .. i am not taking it over even though i could do better for two reasons. by the time the next sat 2 is aviaiable   i would forget everything. lol. >.> and also UC's do not look at your SAT 2 scores that much they just want to know that you got over 650. it is just a reference. your SATS are more important.
