*When you have magnesium ribbon and you mix it with water what happens?

*And when you have magnesium ribbon and you mix it with acid what happens?

PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN I JUST HAVE WAY TO MUCH HOMEWORK BECAUSE I AM TAKING ALL HONORS CLASSES AND THIS WOULD REALLY HELP ME IF YOU WOULD HELP.

  1. Just ask a teacher. You dont have to be shy what so ever and if you think all your homework is to much you shouldnt be in honors classes :)It will get overwelming but i think you will do just fine if you ask!

  2. 1.  Nothing visible...the NaHCO3 simply dissolves.

    2.  You see bubbles form and some solid disappear...

    NaHCO3 + H+ ---> CO2 (bubbles) + H2O + Na+

    3.  Nothing

    4.  You see bubbles form and some Mg disappear...

    Mg + 2H+ ---> H2 (bubbles) + Mg++

    But I suggest you find some time for chem homework too...won't do to fall behind...if you want to keep those honors  :-))
