Chemistry homework - math related question help plz?

If the density, mass, length, and width of a rectangular piece of metal are known, derive the equation for its thickness (height). (h = m/Dlw)

The teacher didnt really teach this to us thats why i was having some trouble. If someone can help me i would really appreciate it thank u very much :)

  1. the density formula is D=m/v

    the voume formula of a rectangular piece is v=lwh

    then you substitue the v=lwh into the v in the density formula and you get:

    D=m/lwh

    then you just have to solove for h:

    D=m/lwh

    m/D=lwh

    (m/D)/lw=h

    h=m/Dlw
