  1. 1) The law of definite proportion states that: All samples of a pure compund, no matter where they come from, always contain the same elements in the same nonchanging ratio(s) by mass. Which means... balance your chemical equations.

    2)

    a) Combination

    2Na + Cl2 -> 2NaCl

    b) Decomposition

    2NaCl -> 2Na + Cl2

    c) Single replacement

    F2 + 2NaCl -> Cl2 + 2NaF

    d)Double decomposition

    CaCl2 + 2AgNO3  -> Ca(NO3)2 + 2AgCl

    3) Oxidation is the interaction between oxygen molecules and other substances to form an oxide while reduction is removing oxigen molecules. So generally, oxidation would occur in combination reactions and reduction would occur in Decomposition reactions. Oxidation and reduction would not happen in Single replacement and double decomposition reactions.
