  1. Hydrogen.  Anytime a metal and an acid react, you'll get a salt and hydrogen gas.

  2. The rule is

    metal + acid = salt + H2 gas

    So

    Zn(s) + 2HCl -----> ZnCl2 + H2(g)

  3. ok so first do a chemical equation

    Zn+HCl->H+ZnCl

    Hydrogen gas is formed because Zinc combines with Chlorine to form an ionic compound, leaving hydrogen by itself. also called a single replacement equation
