When this sample is dissolved in water and excess silver nitrate is added, a white solid (silver chloride) forms. After filtration and drying, the solid silver chloride has the mass 9.2142 g. Calculate the mass percent of each mixture component.

    let x = mass NaCl and let y = mass KCl

    x + y = 4.000

    x / 58.4428 + y / 74.553 = 0.06429
