I have an amp of 100mg/100ul mixture.

this mixture contains 5 components, each at weight% 19.957%, 19.956%, 19.957%, 20.047% and 20.075%.

How much of this mix do i need to add to my diluent to make a concentration of 2000mg/kg... or 2000mg/l ?????

Also what is a Density correction factor??? and how can this be calculated???

All help really appreciated.....Thanx in advance

  2. 1. Your percentages don&#039;t add up to 100% and are meaningless to the question.

    2. This whole question doesn&#039;t really make any sense. There must be more info.

    3. When asking a question just one question mark will suffice.

  3. 100mg in 100ul, so you need 20 x 100ul of your mixture to have 2000mg.

    20 x 100ul = 2000ul = 2.00mls

    This has to be in 1.000L, so assuming water to have a density of 1.0 g/cm^3, you need 2.00mls in a total volume of 1000mls, or 1.00L

    For the mass/mass %, put 2.00mls (or 2.00g) in a total of 1.00kg of solution.  Add your 2.00mls (or 2.00g) to 998g of water.

    The density value of a substance allows you to convert between mass and volume.  Remember that density = mass/volume.  

    Therefore:

    mass = density x volume and

    volume = mass/density

    Exactly what you mean by &#039;density correction factor&#039;, I&#039;m not sure, but I hope the above is of some help.
