  1. conversions:

g Mg --> mol Mg --> atoms Mg

    60gMg x (1 mol/24g) x (6.022x10^23 particles/mol) =

    1.5055x10^24 particles of Mg

  2. You'd use stoichiometry

    60g Mg x  1 mol Mg X  6.02X10^23 molecules  =

                     24.31 g           1 mol

    approximately 1.5x 10^24 molecules.
