Chen Long topples Tommy Sugiarto in group stage of 2013 Sudirman Cup – Badminton news
China’s top male shuttler Chen Long proved his class in the group stage of Sudirman Cup and overpowered Tommy Sugiarto of Indonesia on Tuesday, May 21, 2013.

Chen Long capitalised his early lead also in the latter part of game and ruled the court all the way to game point situation. At first, he widened the gap on points table and then left his challenger far behind in third quarter of the set.
The opening game ended with the Chinese campaigner registering a concluding figure of 21-17. This psychological edge helped him a lot in the following set.
World Number two Chen Long looked at his best in the second set of match as he played flawless badminton and swept the table with a convincing difference in final total.
He laid foundation of his dominance in the preliminary stage of set and maintained an upper hand all the way to game point. He did not show mercy at any stage of the game and finished first half of the set with a favourable score position of 11.
Latter part of the game also belonged to him as maintained a significant difference of ten points and sealed his victory with 21-11 margin. His victory was third consecutive match point for China and it buried all the hopes of Indonesian supporters.
