Chennai Central Rly Station to Chennai Egmore Rly Station transportation thereof?

In my previous question I asked transporation from Chennai Central to Chennai Egmore. Actually I will go Chennai Egmore Railway Station from Chennai Central Rly Station. What will be the best transportation for me ?

Hi There,

From Chennai Airport to Egmore Station is about 17 KM & best option is to take Auto or Taxi from prepaid Auto/Taxi Booth located outside Airport. Beware If you are new to Chennai don't take auto by your own. . They always go via longer routes only to get more money from your pocket.

Other options are :

Take a local train board opposit to airport from Tirusulam Station get down at Egmore Station. (Very economical)

You can take state Bus also by coming to Main Road. Buses from Pallavarm, Tambaram to Broadway/Parry's cornar all goes to Chennai Egmore Station. But this journey will take maximum time.

Chennai Railway station to Chennai Egmore Railway stations is 2 Kms. You may go by auto 3 persons can go. You have to pay Rs. 25/- only. If you well known then you may go by city bus rout no.17 and you have to pay only Rs.3.
