Chennai Super Kings v Deccan Chargers - IPL 5 - Toss Report
Friday, May 04: In the 46th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), defending champions Chennai Super Kings have won the toss and chosen to bat first against the team at the bottom of the points table, Deccan Chargers, at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai.
With Chennai sitting at fifth place with four wins from ten games, the side would be aiming to better their standing in the tournament by humiliating the weakest team by a wide margin.
On the other hand, Deccan are now playing the tournament for pride, knowing the fact that they cannot make it to the final four no matter what happens, nonetheless, beating the defending champions will consolidate some of their bruised ego.
“It was a good performance in the last match, we need to keep performing. Our batting needs to keep going well and we need to bowl in the right areas. It was nice to get some runs and get into some form and I hope the other guys chip in as well today. It looks a good track, hopefully we can defend well today. Meanwhile, Chennai skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028 reckoned that although his bowlers have not been up to the mark, the side still has a strong chance of roaring into the final.
“There is plenty of depth in our batting but we have failed to add those extra runs in the end. Our bowling has also let us down. It is not like we have always gone easily into the play offs,” said Dhoni before the start of the match.

The wicket is good for batting, however, there is some moisture in it which will help the bowlers, but overall the conditions are perfect for batting.
