Chennai Super Kings couldn’t have asked for anything better than successfully defending their title in front of their home crowd. They visited a page from history, lifting the IPL title for the second consecutive time after defeating the Royal Challengers
Bangalore by 58 runs.

His innings was definitely the best considering the fact that it came in a final, which by all means is always a nerve wreaking fixture in any format of the game.
After Vijay, Dhoni who had come one down, added 22 runs in the total tally. The rest of the batsmen, disappointingly, could not capitalize on the good foundation laid by the openers. In the end Chennai rallied a total of 205 runs on the board for Bangalore
to conquer.
