Chennai to Bangalore Past Midnight Travel?

Question

I would be landing in chennai aiport at 12 midnight. Is there any Volvo or Delux bus service to Bangalore. All the busses i checked are last at 11:30 pm. Since from Aiport to Bus station it would take another 30 min can anyone suggest any buss service

If you really serious about travelling only by beyond midnight,

Now Hogenakkal water issue has died down. Buses are plying Bangalore-Chennai. Drop into Koyambedu Bus Stand, you will find some or other buses.

you have bus to banglore from 2.00 a.m  onwards at every 0.30 minute from cmbt at koyambedu and the distace between airport to cmbt is 12 k.m and it is an 0.30 hour journey you can reach there by 1.00 a.m after check out from airport in a auto or taxi which will cost you  125 to 175 rs.

since your arrival time is midnight, there wont be any bus facility, but taxis or autos will be available to reach the city.

Heya! Am trying t find out if KSRTC buses are available past mid-nite or the earliest bus in the morning. Due to the Hoganekkal water issue, buses are not  plying as per schedule. Did u try the trains?

If no option is available, it would be best to wait in airport for some time and then move to CMBT and board the first bus in the morning! There is a bus at 12.30 from pondy to Blore...but then Chennai to Pondy is 3 hrs at the minimum!

Hi Sumit,

If you coming by any international flight means, it will take approximately one and half hrs to come out from the airport. If your landing time is 12:00 means you can come out by early morning 1:30 only. Then you can take a taxi from Airport to CMBT.

But I am not sure about the bus availability in CBMT after 2:00 AM early morning. But sure you can get buses from morning 4:00 AM onwards.
