Chennai to Vellore bus station, No. and Timings????

I am in Chennai I want to go to Vellore. How do I go there? What is the bus number and timing? are they comfortable ?

the best way to reach vellore  is by train . catch any train toward katpadi (trains to banglore, coimbatore, kerala)

katpadi is just 7 k.m from vellore and you can reach katpadi in 2 hours by brindavan , intercity, kovai, and from katpadi to vellore it is just 10 minutes .you have local bus every 2 minutes just out side the railway station and also share auto which take just 5 rs.

by train it is very fast and comfortable also

and if you want to go by bus then you have to come to cmbt in koyambedu where this moffusil bus stand is located and from there you have to catch the route number 102 which goes to vellore , you have every 15 minute a bus to vellore and it will take 4 hours to reach vellore be sure to catch the express or point to point to service.

Most Tamil Nadu SETC and other government buses operate from the Chennai Moffussil Bus Terminus at Koyambedu. It is 7 km west of town.

You will get frequent buses for Vellore over there.
