Chequers Mate preparing to conquer Hove
A field of 6 hounds will be competing in the RGT Open Day In May at Hove on 16th February, 2012. This Grade A5 race will be cover a distance of 515 metres. The prize money for the event is £84.
Boppin The Blues, Grannyknock Ali, Chequers Mate, Tinas Aurora, Pebbles Del, and Without Praise will be competing in this race.
Boppin The Blues is the son of Hades Rocket, out of Erewiggotigg has three victories to his name at Hove in 2012. He was triumphant against, Meabh Mac, on 23rd January 2012.
On 8th February 2012, he defeated, Shine Maldini, in the Grade A6 515m flat race. He gained pace early on, and was soon the front-runner.
Grannyknock Ali, has been consistently finishing on the money in her recent outings, but has not finished first in the last three races she competed in.
Grannyknock Ali finished third on 26th January, 2012, in the 515 metre race. She finished 2nd in another 515 metre race with a winning time of 30.62 seconds on 9th February 2012, by 1 ¾ lengths.
Chequers Mate is a race favourite and has a high probability of winning. He will be sent as the 9 to 4 choice. He is exiting a second place finish at Hove, in the Grade A5 515 flat race, where he was defeated by Shefford Joker by 2 and ¼ of a length.
The son of Westmead Joe, out of Carloway Ebony, whelped in September 2009 is attracting all the bets. It is speculated that he can take advantage of an easy opportunity, but will bring his best game forward.
Tinas Aurora, is also gaining popularity among the bookies. His odds of winning are 5 to 2. He finished in a dead heat, sharing his first place finish with Pumpkin Duff, in the Grade A5 515m flat race at Hove on 8th February 2012.
The odds of Pebbles Del’s victory are 14 to 1. He finished first in the 515 metre race at Hove on 6th February, 2012. The son of Hondo Black, out of Aimigayle defeated, Steeple Rd Shane, by 16 lengths in 31 seconds flat.
Without Praise, has won twice at Hove this year. She finished first by beating, Ballytag Anna by 2 lengths in the Grade A6 515m flat race at Hove on 21st January 2012.
On 28th January 2012, in the Grade A5 Karma Kelly 3 In A Row Race, Without Praise defeated Jessie Tara by ½ a length. Her performances have been outstanding. She is bound to make her presence felt in this race.
Looking at the betting forecast, it is predicted that, Chequers Mate will sail through the race and be victorious. The second place will be achieved by Tinas Aurora and Boppin The Blues, and Without Praise will be competing for third place.
