i really appreciate all the answers and help i am geting from you guys and i thank you very much but now my question is how do i know my specific tribe? see this is all new to me i know it sounds odd but at 39 i decide to do something about it better late then never does anyone know of one in michigan

  1. cant you ask your parents? or you could check your local library, they should have info on this. also see if you coul get a hold of a high school history book. cant you find anything on the internet? i should be checking too, my grandmother was an indian too. but i dont know what tribe either. she was from oregon.good luck,susyq47

  3. You will have to prove your ancestry and find your indian ancestor in the cherokee roll books.
