Question:

Cherry picking in Bay area in July?

I'm looking for places to go cherry picking in the bay area in late July. Anyone know of any places in Gilroy or else where in the SF Bay area that's open for cherry picking in July? Else, any recommendations for fruit picking farms in the area would be good too.

Thanks!

  1. this belongs somewhere else

  2. In Brentwood off Brentwood Blvd. the pound is only $2.00 and is a great experience for the kids.

  3. Interesting to hear Brentwood is now a focal-point.  There ARE endless cherry orchards out just east of Stockton... though I don't know if they have public-picking.

I remember the "good old days"... when the Olsen Orchards in Sunnyvale still covered 50 odd acres, and as kids we'd sneak in for a few handfuls.  I still have rock-salt in my back-side from his shotgun when we got greedy at 14 and tried to liberate several bucketfuls.

  4. I had a cherry tree in my back yard, but i moved, or i would have invited you to come pick some

  5. Stockton  is a BIG cherry growing area

  6. Brentwood has amazing cherry tree picking places..

and it has tons of other fruit picking stands too!!!
