Question:

Chesapeake Energy - Sell or Hold?

I bought a significant number of shares of Chesapeake Monday and watched as I lost $5/share yesterday. Should I continue to hold and wait for oil and gas prices to rise again or do I get out of the stock now?

  1. I own 200 shares that I bought at $13 a share. Im holding this stock for a long time to come. I dont worry about price up and downs with this company. They have real assets and a product that is needed. Im planning on buying more CHK in the near future.

  2. Hold.  They have a decent amount of gas resources proximate to the East coast.

  3. Hold they also have Natural Gas Holdings. All Oil stocks will drop till November, after the election. Then the winter will kick in and we will see Natural Gas prices rise. You probably would have been better to wait till the annual October market crash and then have bought.
