Chess auto solver? cheat?

if you're playing a game of chess with a friend is there a website or software that lets you type in where all the pieces are located currently on your game. then it will tell you what move to make to win and not have pieces die. so when your friend moves you record his move on the program and it will tell you where to move your piece to. is there anything like this?

Yes and No.

There are programs with highly rated AI algorithms.. but since the game is NOT solved.. there is no guarantee the move determined by the AI is in fact the strongest move available in the position.

The easiest way to use a program is to play Human versus AI and play as the other player.. thus when the other player makes a move.. you make the same move in the program. The AI will respond with it's move.. which translates into the move you make in the game with the other player.
