Chess clocks?

hi i am thinking about buying a chess clock i dont know if i should buy a digital or an analog clock.if you have both please tell me which one is better. i like the analog because they look nicer. BUT the digital looks easier to use and more modern, anyway which is better thanks.

  1. get a chronos digital clock. Its very durble and is the best digital clock. But it cost $100+. Plus digital clocks allows you to do 5 second delay and more functions then what an analog does.


  2. I have both but prefer the analog clocks.  Jerger makes great clocks and BHB makes good cheap ones.  Watch out for those cheap analog USCF timers as they get beat up pretty bad playing blitz chess.

  3. Digital. Period.

    Get an analog if you want to be a second class member at a tournament.  I'm serious.

    Usually Black has choice of equipment, but if white has a digital clock and Black has an anolog White can over rule him.

    That is where analogs are still used.  I'm not familiar with rules of all chess federations.
