A lot of middle or high schools in GA have chess clubs. I know of many in North Georgia. Also, check with local recreational sports facilities, and in the newspapers. A lot of times, there will be a group to find there. Also, a lot of libraries host chess tournaments, and will be able to offer some information on local ordinances and such. Search on google "georgia children's chess clubs." I found some nice results there.
