Not quite sure what you mean by trophies. Traditionally they get a gold medal, a large laurel wreath is placed around their neck and they may get a souvenir type gift from the host country. Also plenty of money!

Vishy Anand is the top male Indian Chess Player. Koneru Humpy is the best female.
