Chest and back exercises?

I want to harden my chest muscles and gain more muscle in my back. How can I do this.

  1. the muscles will harder as intramuscular fat stores are depleted and the muscles store more glycogen inside them, it takes time.

    you want to vary the rep ranges of your exercise.  I like to use 8-10 reps for compound exercises to increase strength and mass and higher reps with isolation exercises to fatigue the slow twitch muscle fibers to build endurance.
