Question:

Chest pains: I'm female and only 16?

Every once in a while I get pain in the left side of my chest; a sharp, usually short-lived pain, but it hurts a lot. I've never really paid much attention to it before, because it didnt happen often and I knew others that it has happened to. But for the last 2 days it has been happening more, especially this morning. I'm only 16, so I'm not sure what it could be. It hurts really badly but then goes away after a few seconds. I thought about growing pains, but it's only on the left side of my chest and it feels more like an internal pain. Any ideas?

  1. I think that this may be serious. I am not a doctor or anything but you should definetly go see one. A doctor can help you out. Do you smoke a lot??? Maybe you have some problems with ur heart if u do. Idk what else to say. Maybe it's nothing and maybe it's something. Anyway go see a doctor right away and tell your parents. Take care

  2. I have no idea at all,,, and if I did write what I thought you should ignore it.  With medical issues it's best to only trust medical professionals.  Here is a link that will help you,, and it's free

  3. I have it..it is because of stress and weakness, anemia.also check if your bra isn't too tight!

oh and also I'm 16 too!!!

  4. Growing pains aren't always happening equally on both sides of the body at the same time. But have you spoken to your parents/mom? If you have and they feel nothing is wrong and you are still concerned then talk to the school nurse, or maybe an aunt or other family member.

  5. Try seeing a doctor. It could be a sign of breast cancer, so don't ignore it.

  6. I think it is growing pains as I had growing pains as well before. But still go to see your Doctor please.

    Please answer. :)
