  1. its not the biggest of problems but there are ways to find out the truth.

1-are the pains constant or just random?

constant pains usually means something serious. random pains could just be a muscle twitch.

2- how old are you? after the age of 30, this can be a very serious problem and a second opinion with tests should be done to be sure

3- has it been getting better? typically if the pains are better every day, its a very good sign. just rest and concentrate on breathing. if its getting worse, its definately bad. go to the doctor right away

4- have you done anything strenuous to cause the pains? working out or exercise your not used to can cause pains to last a week or 2. or if you were winded or hit in the stomach somehow can cause the same effect

5- anxiety. if your nervous or stressed to a high degree, it can lead to chest pains as well. try to reduce stress levels if this is the case.

6- in any case, just make sure to think of whether it gets worse, dont take any chances with chest pains and go to the doctor if there are any doubts.

  2. i had very sharp pains in the left side of my chest. i couldnt catch my breath because it hurt too bad. i went to the doctor and have pleurisy. it hurts like h**l. so that could be it. definitely seek a different doctors opinion

  3. This sounds like an impending heart attack. Classic symptoms include pain or pressure in the chest, shortness of breath and pain in the extremities, especially the left arm. Treat this as a medical emergency. Get a second opinion of necessary.

  4. See another doctor.

  5. If you know there is a problem and your doctor isn't helping, it's time to see another doctor(s).  Don't be afraid to ask questions and demand answers.. you are in charge of your health.
