Currently going through rehabilitation following a knee injury which he picked up during the recent edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the talented batsman hoped that he will be able to regain complete fitness by October 2011.
The Men in Blue are due to play a four-match Test series against the Aussie side, with the first clash set to be played from December 26 to December 30, 2011.

"I was disappointed that I had to miss out on twin tours of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c749 due to injury. I wish I would have been in England but you can`t control injuries. Right now my full focus is on recovering as quickly as possible. "I am aiming to make a

Following a dismay recital on the tour http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757, Pujara was excluded from the national squad. While he was a strong candidate for the Caribbean tour, fitness issues did not let him restart his journey with the national crew.
Recalling the half-century he smashed on his debut, playing a pivotal role in India’s comprehensive victory against Australia at Bangalore in October 2010, the 23-year-old batsman shared that he is raring to go and will display something special if he is
given an opportunity to represent country in the upcoming clash against the Aussies.
"Once you have that self confidence, it makes your job a lot easier. You start feeling that you can comeback as you have the ability to deliver at the highest level," shared the right-handed batsman who has a fantastic record in first-class cricket – collecting
over 4000 runs in 56 matches with a best score of unbeaten 302.
