Will running mixed gas (2 cycle) gas, foul your plugs out? Its a 78 chevy truck 350. It will run for little while, then I go to start it up again the next day. Wont do nothing. I have to take the plugs out and clean them. Just wondering if thise could be a reason. I usually run regular gas, but I needed an extra 2 gallons of gas one day.

  1. the oil in the 2 cycle gas will fowl the plugs out. better drain the tank and put some good gas in.

  2. Burning oil in a 4 stroke engine will typically foul plugs with oil residue, not mention make your car smoke. Depends on how heavy the oil concentration is. If they have many miles on them, it may be a good idea to change them anyway. Remember, always use DELCO plugs in GM vehicles.

  3. Sounds like you need to go buy some new plugs. After plugs have been oil or gas fouled they don't work to good.

  4. Check the gap on your plugs, and flush fuel line to get the oil out its not good for four cycle combustion. The oil can foul the plugs, but i doubt that the gas caused huge harm to engine being that it was only two gallons.
