i want to put an aftermarket head unit in my 05 cobalt, but i believe there is the anti theft feature that my parents van has. if you disconnect the stock cd player than it locks you out. also there was no "hot" running through the wire harness. is this true with my cobalt?..and if so would i have to go to a different source for my power wire?

  1. You should go to your local car audio shop. They have a bypass module that will allow you to install a aftermarket unit with no problems. These modules cost aroung $50 and will by pass the Body control module in your cobalt to make the new unit work.Best of luck.
