Which would be the better suv to own and which would have the better trade in value? Trail Blazer is a 2002 with 91,000 miles, sunroof, 4wd, running boards, runs great and looks even better. Santa Fe is a 2004 with 88,000 miles, sunroof, 4wd, runs great and look even better also!

I own the trail blazer and was thinking of trading it in on the Santa Fe. With what I owe on the trail blazer and the price I would get the santa fe basically makes it an even trade. I will owe no more or less. The santa fe gets around 22 mpg and the trail blazer gets 17 mpg. The trail blazer is bigger and is 2 wd until I shift it into 4wd. The santa fe is always in 4 wd.

  1. I would rather have the Santa Fe, but after you figure in taxes, title, etc, you will be better off keeping your TrailBlazer.

It isn't enough of an upgrade to switch.

Unless you are having mechanical issues with the Blazer, keep it.

  2. If your not going to be better off except for 3000 miles, AND the SUV you gave now if more efficient, why would you trade it?

  3. i would trade for the santa fe because the santa fe has more mpg, less miles, 4wd. its not much smaller than the santa fe. Also Rav4s have even better mpgs and have a bigger trunk. They also probably will cost less

  4. You owe money on a car with 91,000 miles on it?!  Pay that car off first.  Both cars are way older than I would consider buying.  It's never a good idea to sell a car you still owe money on.  People get screwed over all the time with deals like this.  Don't trust a dealer when they say, "we will pay off your loan."  A lot of times they don't.  And then you get stuck with the delinquent payments.
