how much would a 2008 Chevy Cobalt coupe cost, full price, that way you wouldn't have to make payments every month?

  1. That all depends on options and negotiations. If you want a base coupe, probably 16k out the door. If you want an LT, expect another 2k at least. Of course, with cash you can bargain them down, but you still have to pay the doc fees and registration, etc.

  2. Don't forget towing and repairs not covered by warrantee.  Get AAA, you'll need it.

  3. i've seen them in the last month as low as 10995...

  4. They're not worth the money.  They're pieces of c**p.  They replaced the POS Cavalier, and Chevy didn't better themselves any by changing the name from Cavalier to Cobalt.  Transmissions in them suck.  The dealership won't even look at problems with them until its too late.  Found this out when I had my 2006 POS Cobalt.  From day 1 it had a transmission problem and the dealer wouldn't even look at it, that was until I called them and told them that it wouldn't shift into 3rd gear.  Which by this time I already knew the syncros were gone because of the initial problem.  This lead to the dealer having my car for a month, rebuilding the tranny 2 times, and still screwed it up.  So it was goodbye chevy, and hello Toyota Tundra.
