I'm researching the play The Happy Journey by Thornton Wilder, and was wondering if someone could help me decide what kind of car is used. The play takes place during the 20's and the car is a Chevrolet. A family of four is able to fit comfortably and ride from Neward to Camden, NJ (approx. 97 miles) within less than a day. They do not stop to fill up, although there is some concern about the reliability of the car. The family was able to buy it on a middle class income. Can anyone help me identify this car?

  1. If the car had reliability problems, it was almost certainly second hand, but it can't be pre- 1911 because that's when Chevrolet was born.

I searched using Google and found a site called How Stuff Works.

If you look on there I'm sure you'll be able to decide which car it was.

    Hope this has helped?
