Chewing in baseball...

I thought they banned players from having chew in their mouth a few years back. Back around when Lenny Dykstra was told he had throat cancer.

just another example of the inconsistency of MLB...if they didn't ban chew, they've shown the loopholes are still there.

I'm not sure if it was banned or not, but I remember Dykstra had the right field turf stained with his chew spit in Veterans Stadium.....nasty.

Not in the bigs...in the minors they have rules about chew.
