Cheyenne Woods: the most elegant at the Evian Masters Gala
The Evian Masters is over and the last feature on the events card was the annual Evian Masters Gala Dinner. This dinner is held in the honour of all the players and the management who took part in the Evian Masters.
This year, Cheyenne Woods was named by many fashion gurus as the best dressed golfer at the prestigious event. This is an annual tradition that selects one golfer among the participants as the best dressed and the most elegant looking.
This year has been very good for Cheyenne Woods. She started off a great start and qualified for the 2012 U.S. Women Open. She played great golf in the qualifying rounds and was the co-medallist in the final qualifiers.
Woods was very excited about the Evian Masters. She got a sponsors’ exemption and played at the event. She played an above average game and finished in the 50th position.
This performance exceeded the predictions of many observers who had already pegged Woods near the bottom of the leaderboard.
The players who play under sponsors’ exemption are usually promising young golfers whom the sponsors wish to promote. Usually, these players offer a below average performance that many take for granted.
In the case of Cheyenne Woods, this did not happen. She hit some rough patches along the way, but her overall result was in line with everyone’s expectations. She finished the first round with a score of 71, which included two bogeys.
The second round went a little better with a score of 69. She again shot two bogeys. The third round ended with Woods scoring 70 points. This round saw her shooting four bogeys.
