Chez Reavie stands two strokes behind the leader in the 1st round of Phoenix Open

Chez Reavie displayed an amazing performance and reached the top position after the end of round-one of the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
Reavie, a 30-year-old American professional golfer, is only two strokes behind the leader Ryan Palmer. Reavie scored a 5-under 66.
He scored a bogey on the sixth hole only, and his all overall performance was impressive.
TPC Scottsdale, a 71-par golf course located in Arizona, is one of the best in the United States and round-one was the most attractive one. Recording 5-under on such a difficult course is not an easy task.
"I played really solid today, avoided trouble and made some good putts," Reavie said. "By making birdies early, I didn't feel any pressure that I was falling behind".
Scoring early birdies helped him tremendously and he did not face any difficulty while performing later.
In the past, if one managed to record some impressive birdies early, then they were able to secure a lead from round two onwards as well.
"I might have shot this low before but with these conditions I would have to say it's my best round in the tournament," Reavie said. "The course really was playing tougher than usual today".
Ryan Palmer is the current leader of the tournament. He played a tremendous game and scored a 7-under 64 in total. His skills helped him reach the top.
He started the tournament with a birdie and later scored seven birdies. He was perfect at the start of day and continued to perform well till the end.
However, he was unable to score well on 7th hole as recorded a bogey. Nonetheless, 1-over par did not affect him and he is still on the No. 1 position of on the leaderboard.
On the other hand, Jason Dufner also scored 7-under and stood tied with Palmer. He was at or under par on every hole of the TPC Scottsdale.
His seven birdies took him to the leading position. His driving distance was 291.5, which is average.
The round two will be important for all the players as they will be competing to reach the top by giving their best on the course.
