qigong does train your strength making u stronger i.e. greater explosive power, that's why brucelee was able to kick with the horse power of a truck. but does qigong train stamina i.e. can brucelee run a long time without panting, assuming that he does not jog but do horse standing qigong most of the time. i've heard of shaolin thousand steps technique which allows someone to run a few hours without panting, but can the same effect be achieved without this technique but only horse standing alone. if not why, since horse standing also increases the energy in ur dantian, which is exactly what abdominal breathing does in thousand steps training?

  1. Chikung does not increase strength.

It develops the ability to use your body's energy to enhance your skill.

It increases the oxygen and causes the electrons in your body to accelerate. It affects you at the atomic level. This is what causes healing as your cells regenerate through chikung practice.

The explosive power you develop can be achieved whether or not you have muscular development.

To answer your question... YES! It increases stamina by, again, increasing the oxygen you use.

  2. You should study a little more before you tell people what Qigong does. You have a long way to go just to break the surface of what it is and what it can do.
