Do you think Chicago will win the bid for the 2016 Olympic Games next year in October 2009?

Will Rio de Janeiro, Brazil will get it from Chicago?!

Which one you prefer, Chicago or Rio de Janeiro?

  1. i believe they have an amazing chance japan shouldn't get it cause an asia city just hosted it. madrid shouldn't b/c london has it in 2012 and athens had it in 2004 so that's 2 for europe in the past couple years. rio will be the one to take it from us if we dont get it. a south american city has never hosted the olympics but idk if they would be able to have the quality of facilities to host it. so for 2016 olympics CHICAGO LETS GO

p.s. if chicago gets it im so going

  2. id like to see Rio get it, not because i'm anti USA or anti chicago (cos i think they would do a great job) but because the US had the atlanta olympics not too long ago. So it would be nice to see another country get it, I don't think South America has had it for a while!

  3. i hope Rio de Janeiro

Because it never been to Brazil and because of the poor reports I have read about America host the 96 Paralympic games.

  4. Rio.  We've hosted it too often.

I also think Mexico City would be a good place for it.

  5. chicago

  6. im from chicago. im divided on the matter. it would be awesome to get the olympics here at home. but if we did then we already got pwned by beijing just like the next 100 cities that are going to host the olympics. it would be great if rio got it because at least we wouldnt look stupid

  7. i really think it will be Rio, and i also prefer it to be Rio, South America has never hosted an olympics so i think they are do for one. all i know is Seattle, WA should put in a bid for the 2020 olympics.

  8. Rio de Janeiro.  The U.S. has hosted the Olympics 4 times already.  It would be a treat for the Brazilian residents to get their chance to enjoy Olympic atmosphere.

  9. Probably, all i know is that is going to be in the Americas, Mexico City is doing their thing to be counted too...

  10. i love chicago but since the US has had it for so many times, I would say I rather Rio win it. plus, i get American culture everyday, time for some brasillll

  11. its probably brazil. the IOC prefers to rotate between the continents

    1996-atlanta,us

    2000-australia

    2004-greece

    2008-china

    2012-london

    2016-?

a south american country hasnt had the olympics for a long time
